Signa Trust invites individuals, businesses and communities to help seven young women continue their tertiary education in 2027 through its Ripple Effect Challenge.
Education opens doors to opportunities, but for many students, securing the funding to complete their studies remains a challenge.
Signa Trust currently supports seven young Black South African women pursuing tertiary qualifications in fields including Law, Nursing, Biomedicine, Accounting, Financial Management and Information Technology.
As the 2027 academic year approaches, the Trust’s immediate priority is to help these students continue their studies, while working towards a longer-term goal of extending educational opportunities to more young women.
Introducing The Ripple Effect Challenge
Built around the idea that one small contribution can inspire another, The Ripple Effect Challenge encourages individuals to contribute what they can and invite others to do the same.
The concept is simple:
GIVE → CHALLENGE → MULTIPLY THE IMPACT
- Give: Make a contribution of R50, R100, R250, R500, R1,000 or any amount you choose.
- Challenge: Invite a colleague, friend or family member to match your donation or contribute what they can.
- Multiply the impact: Every contribution adds to the collective funding that helps students continue their education.
Whether someone contributes R50 or R1,000, the idea is to create a ripple effect that extends beyond a single donation.
Where Do Contributions Go?
Donations to Signa Trust are pooled and allocated towards eligible student expenses, which include:
- Tuition fees
- Accommodation and student wellbeing
- Student stipends
- Study materials and equipment
While the immediate focus is on securing educational continuity for these seven students in 2027, Signa Trust hopes to grow its donor base and extend its reach to more students in the years ahead.
Be Part of the Ripple.
The campaign is open to Signa’s employees, business members, strategic partners, clients, friends, families and members of the public.
Every contribution, regardless of the amount, is appreciated.
Those who are unable to contribute financially can still help by sharing the campaign with their networks.
